Dan Scarr signs for the Saddlers

Scarr made his First Team debut for Blues in the Carabao Cup tie at Reading at the start of this season, playing the whole 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat, and was an unused sub five times over the Christmas and New Year period.

Defender Dan Scarr has today joined League One side Walsall for an undisclosed fee.

The centre-half has been with Blues for two years after completing a dream move from non-league Stourbridge in January 2017.

A boyhood Blues fan, Scarr was sidelined by injury soon after signing his two-and-a-half-year deal, before spending last season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers.

He chalked up 26 appearances to help Gareth Ainsworth’s charges in their bid for promotion from League Two, but a knee injury curtailed his involvement in the final two months of the campaign as the Chairboys sealed a return to England’s third tier.

The 24-year-old also chalked up 12 appearances for Richard Beale’s high-flying Development Squad side this season.

The Club would like to thank Dan for his efforts over the last two years and wish him all the best for his future career.
