Blues Under-23s take on Leeds United Under-23s in the National PDL Play-Off Final at Elland Road on Monday (12.30pm).

Arguably the two best teams in both North and South sections over the course of the season - Leeds won the North division, Blues were runners-up - it promises to be a good contest.

Blues will again select from the same squad that saw off Ipswich Town Under-23s so impressively in the Semi-Final last week, by 3-0.

And they could be boosted by the return of regular Olly McCoy, who has had to sit things out in recent weeks due to injury.

It's been a long time coming since Blues Development Squad really set down a marker like this and reached a final, and Paul Robinson says it's well deserved.

"It's a fantastic achievement for them," said the Assistant Senior Professional Development Coach.

"They have known from pre-season what it is all about and as coaches where we stand about what we want them to be. They have taken everything on board - fair play.

"They have achieved what they've wanted to achieve - one massive game to go."

Blues and Leeds were neck and neck in the race for the title under Leeds pulled away. But Blues won and drew their regular season encounters against the Whites.

Robinson told BluesTV: "Leeds are a very strong team. They play a lot of first team players as well. We know that Bielsa like to rotate; the lads who are on the bench they then play the (Under-23s) games on the Monday.

"So we know it's going to be tough. A very strong team, very athletic, good on the ball. But our lads will be up for it. They love a challenge. They are fully focused on this game."
