Lucy Quinn has left Birmingham City Women after almost two years at the Club.

Quinn rejected a new contract from Blues and has decided to take up an offer elsewhere instead.

The Southampton-born winger started out at Portsmouth Ladies, where she enjoyed six years, before moving to Yeovil Town Ladies. During her time at the club, they gained promotion to the Women’s Super League.

The 25-year-old joined Marc Skinner’s side in September 2017, making her debut in the opening game of the 2017/18 WSL season against Arsenal at Meadow Park.

She went on to make a further 20 appearances during her debut season for Blues, scoring twice.

During the 2017/18 season, Quinn suffered from injury early on in the campaign but bounced back to play 13 games.

The midfielder scored Blues’ only goal in their defeat to Arsenal in Continental Cup.

However, she more memorable notched in the dramatic 3-2 win over Chelsea at Kingsmeadow. Her audacious strike on the half volley looped over a helpless Carly Telford and sparked the comeback for Blues.

This goal was voted Goal of the Season by the fans at the end of season Player Awards. While on the night, she battled it out with Che Adams for the Ultimate Goal of the Season.

The Club would like to thank Lucy for her efforts and wish her every success in the next chapter of her career.
