The team will be looking to return to winning ways after narrowly missing out on a place in the Continental Cup semi-finals, after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal Women.
With the focus now back on the league, Blues will be looking to continue their charge for a Champions League spot.
Currently level on points with third-place Chelsea, the team are hoping to add another victory on Sunday afternoon.
They have already faced Bristol City twice this season in both the league and cup. In the reverse fixture, Blues came away from Stoke Gifford Stadium with all three points as Aoife Mannion’s thunder strike, after a penalty miss, secured victory.
However, Bristol got the better of Blues in a penalty shootout at the end of last year. The two teams played out a 0-0 draw, but due to the rules of the Conti Cup, proceeded to spot kicks where Tanya Oxtoby’s side took advantage.
Captain Kerys Harrop is excited about playing against a side with former team-mates and is focused on getting the win.
She said: “I think we can focus and regroup and get ready for Sunday. It’s going to be a tough match against Bristol. We’ve played them twice already this season. In the league we only beat them 1-0 thanks to a wonder strike by Aoife.
“You look forward to any game really, I guess with Tanya being the manager there it’s nice to play against them and I think she enjoys playing against us as well. Obviously Sophie Baggaley also plays for them. We’ll treat it like any other game, and we have to dominate the ball if we’re going to get the win.”
Tickets are available on the gate at £8 for adults and £5 concessions.
