REACTION: Reading 0 Blues 0

The most important part for us is finishing the season unbeaten on that seven game run - I think that is a real positive to know that we can go on those runs.

Garry Monk talked to the press after today's final game of the season against Reading..

Garry Monk on the result and finishing the season seven unbeaten...

"I felt it was quite an even game, both teams had chances. The most important part for us is finishing the season unbeaten on that seven game run - I think that is a real positive to know that we can go on those runs. We had one earlier in the season when we were 11 games unbeaten. Of course you want to win every game and push to win those games but we are in the most competitive league in the world. To finish the season with seven games unbeaten is a difficult thing to do."

Garry Monk's message to his players...

"The biggest thing is a big well done to those players, we have had a small squad, even today with the injuries and the boys we have had out, we have managed to make it through this last part of the season together. We still put a team out there that can compete and show what we have been about all season and to have the mentality to make sure we can take points from every game. Of course there are things to improve on but overall I think they have been absolutely magnificent this season, worn the shirt the right way. We talked about it at the start of the season. Two things we tried to do was to put out a team with an identity and a more positive way of approaching and competing in games."

Garry Monk on the travelling support and their impact all season long...

"The other side of it was to bring everyone together and you saw it at the end, 2,500 fans to be able to go there and have that connection and feel we are together in all of this - has been a huge success. They are the foundations we tried to concentrate on putting in place. The fans were great again today, getting behind the team, we have faced challenges this season right from the very beginning and they have been there with the players every step of the way and we can't thank them enough for the support they have shown this team."
