The last Blues game he refereed was our Sky Bet Championship away fixture at Derby County in December 2016.
Blues lost that game 1-0 and there were three players cautioned; including Michael Morrison and David Davis for Blues.
The last Middlesbrough game he took charge of was their 2-1 Championship away defeat at Nottingham Forest victory in August 2017.
Six players received yellow cards in that game; including Dael Fry, Ben Gibson, Adam Clayton and Britt Assombalonga for Boro.
Mr Scott will be assisted by Neil Davies and Derek Eaton, with Andrew Madley acting as the fourth official.
