So far this season, the Lancashire-based official has refereed 31 games where he has produced a total of 94 yellow cards and five reds.
The last Blues game he refereed was our Championship away fixture at QPR in February.
Blues won that match 4-3 and there were two players cautioned; including Jacques Maghoma for the visitors.
During his refereeing career to date, Mr Bond has taken charge of 14 Blues matches - nine of which Blues have won, three they have drawn and two they have lost.
The last Sheffield United game he took charge of was their Sky Bet Championship home fixture against Norwich City in August 2018 which the Blades won 2-1.
Four players were booked in that game; including Chris Basham and David McGoldrick for the hosts.
In total, Mr Dean has taken charge of 10 Sheffield United games; with the Blades winning five of them, drawing one and losing four.
Mr Bond will be assisted on Wednesday by Adrian Waters and Matthew McGrath, with Andy Woolmer acting as the fourth official.
