BluesTV: your questions, answered

BluesTV makes a return to your screen this week, showing all nine of our remaining Championship games.

With thousands of new users signing up to BluesTV in the past few days, we've put together a list of some of your most asked questions.

What Is BluesTV?

BluesTV is Birmingham City's video streaming service. It allows supporters to access live matches and on-demand behind-the-scenes content from the Club.

How do I access the service?

If you're viewing on a laptop then visit

If you're viewing on a mobile or tablet then you'll need to watch on the Birmingham City app. Click here to download.

I've heard season ticket holders can access BluesTV for free this season. Is this true?

Yes, season ticket holders can claim free access to live matches for the rest of the season as part of your compensation options

Can I purchase a subscription for the games if I didn't apply for a season ticket refund?

Yes, individual games are available to purchase at a cost of £10 each, as long as they are not being shown on Sky. Please click here to find out more.

Monthly and annual subscriptions will not be available to purchase until next season.

I've applied for access through my season ticket compensation - what do I do next?

Once you've applied for your compensation, you'll be sent a voucher code within two working days to access BluesTV. Simply log in with your existing Blues credentials or create a new account and enter the voucher code here.

You'll then need to download the Birmingham City app if you're planning to watch on a mobile or tablet device and login on there. Take some time to familiarise yourself with the set-up to avoid any last-minute panic on matchday.

I'm an existing subscriber - what about me?

If you're an existing BluesTV subscriber then you can continue to access the service as before. We've also extended annual subscriptions by three months at no additional cost for the disruption to service during the period whilst games were postponed.

What games will be shown on BluesTV for the rest of this season?

If you've claimed your season ticket compensation for BluesTV then you'll be able to watch all nine of our remaining games on BluesTV.

If you're purchasing games on an individual Pay-Per-View basis then only games which are not being shown on Sky are available. At the time of writing, only one of our first seven fixtures has been selected for Sky broadcast - our game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 20 June.

Will Sky Red button be available?

No, there is no Sky Red button service for the rest of the season. BluesTV is the only way to watch the majority of Blues matches.

I've heard about an IPTV service which shows the games

IPTV services are illegal and the EFL has invested heavily in new monitoring system against the use of them. If you use this service then you run the risk of being prosecuted.

Can I watch BluesTV on my smart TV?

Unfortunately, due to EFL broadcasting restrictions, we are unable to provide a casting option or a smart TV app.

However, we have no way of stopping you plugging your laptop in with an HDMI lead or searching for your own casting workarounds.
