Pep Clotet has confirmed that Jeremie Bela's injury is not as bad as was first feared and he could be back within the month.

The winger was stretchered off during last weekend's draw against QPR in obvious pain following a challenge by the R's midfielder Marc Pugh.

Since joining the Club at the start of November, Bela has been a key member of the side, scoring four goals and providing five assists.

“Jeremie got a scan and it shows an injury on the hamstring area,” said Blues' Head Coach Pep Clotet.

“Initially it was very painful, but it is milder than we expected. Luckily for us and happily for him.

“It is not going to be a very long one. He should be featuring for us as we have a lot of games to play.

“It is Grade I; it is difficult on timing and every time I give you a time, I get stick from the medical department – I would say a month."
