Blues Favourites For Home Improvement Against Swansea.

Birmingham City are favourites to build on the midweek draw with Huddersfield and get back to winning ways in the Championship when they host Swansea on Saturday afternoon.

Manager Lee Bowyer said there are positives to take from the 0-0 draw at Huddersfield, who currently sit inside the play-off places despite being denied a third consecutive win at home by the Blues.

Birmingham have since shortened into 7/5 from 13/8 in the betting with BoyleSports to get three points on the board on Saturday as they chase consecutive league wins over their Welsh visitors. Swansea have also drawn blanks in three of their last four away league matches against the Blues and a home victory with a clean sheet has also been clipped into 14/5 from 10/3.

It's a hot 1/3 shot that the hosts put an end to their goal drought and Troy Deeney has edged ahead as the most likely to break the deadlock at 9/2 from 5/1, while Scott Hogan and Lukas Jutkiewicz are rated 5/1 and 6/1 respectively to score the first goal of the game.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Betting trends over the last 24 hours suggest punters are hopeful that the midweek draw at Huddersfield can act as a springboard for Birmingham. They are starting to get behind the Blues again and at 7/5 from 13/8, they are going to kick off favourites to get back in the groove against Swansea this weekend.”
