Jordan Graham Joins Blues

Welcome to Blues, Jordan!

Blues are delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Graham.

The former Gillingham winger has agreed a two-year deal with a further year option and will join after his contract with the League One side expires on June 30.

Graham, 26, enjoyed his most fruitful campaign last term, registering 13 goals and 9 assists in all competitions and becomes Lee Bowyer’s second acquisition of the summer following the signing of Ryan Woods earlier this week.

A quick and exciting talent, his ability to go past a player and pose a goal threat from either flank, made him the subject of considerable interest this summer.

But Blues moved quickly to secure their man and bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

The Coventry-born wideman returns to the West Midlands having begun his career across the Second City before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2015.

Temporary stints with Oxford United, Fulham and Ipswich Town followed as Graham went in search of First Team football.

He then joined Gillingham in January 2020, initially on a six-month loan deal, but only managed to impress for a month before the League One season was curtailed due to COVID-19.

Despite only making seven appearances in what was a shortened calendar, it was enough to convince the Gills to offer him a permanent deal and Graham signed on the dotted line in August last year.

His contribution in the final third helped propel the Gills to a tenth-placed finish and a series of eye-catching performances made him a standout performer for Steve Evans’ side.

Having been offered a new deal this summer, Graham opted to explore his options and having now committed his future to Blues, he says can’t wait to get started.

“I’m over the moon,” Graham said. “I’m delighted to come here, be back in the Championship and hopefully show people what I can do.

“Last season was a good year for me in terms of performance and numbers and I want to build on that now.

“You get the impression that the Club’s heading in a new direction and it’s a really positive feeling.

“I got that when I met the manager last week. I knew he was interested in me when he was at Charlton so when he came here, I was already thinking this would be an ideal move.

“I’m delighted it’s all worked out perfectly and I couldn’t be happier.”

Graham will link up with his new teammates in time for Saturday’s pre-season testing session before the squad head to Scotland for a week of training.
