Lyle Taylor joined on loan from Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the 2021/22 season in the January transfer window.
The striker reunited with his former Charlton Athletic boss, having scored 35 times in 67 outings during their shared time at the Valley. This followed another goal spree in the capital where he boasted a one in three record at AFC Wimbledon, having previously been successful north of the border with Falkirk and Partick Thistle.
With both the Dons and the Addicks, Taylor was a play-off winner in League Two and League One respectively, the latter coming under Lee Bowyer. This rise through the divisions earned him a permanent move to Nottingham Forest in summer 2020.
