Biography

Sandvej joined Blues in the summer of 2021, having spent the previous two seasons with FC Fleury 91 in France.

An experienced and well-travelled player, Sandvej’s career started to the west of the Danish capital, Copenhagen, at Brondby IF. After four seasons, she made the ambitious switch to Australia and joined Perth Glory.

In Western Australia, Sandvej helped the Glory Girls to a runners-up finish in the W-League Grand Final before a further relocation saw her sign for Washington Spirit in the United States.

The defender then returned to Europe later in 2014, spending three seasons with German side SC Sand and a further two at Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of joining her most recent club, FC Fleury 91.

Sandvej has also been capped 36 times at senior international level for Denmark, representing her nation at the European Championships in 2013 and 2017 – reaching the final in the most recent of these tournaments.
