Reaction: Blues 2-1 Huddersfield Town
John Eustace lauded the contribution of the supporters after his team beat Huddersfield Town on Friday night.
For the second successive week at the start of the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign, Blues went toe to toe with one of last season's top six - this time coming out with all three points.
Scott Hogan and Przemyslaw Placheta scored for the hosts as they continued their unbeaten start under the lights and delivered a performance that showed real pride in wearing the royal blue shirt.
Although, as well as praising his team and backroom staff when reflecting on the match, the Head Coach made a point of identifying the home crowd as pivotal to the success.
"The first-half, I thought we were really good. Then second-half, we really had to dig in deep. We showed fantastic character and showed a real togetherness, not just the players and the staff but the fans certainly got us through that second-half.
"I was really proud of the whole Club today. It was a good battling performance."
The was also further detail from the Gaffer on the spirit inside the Birmingham City camp and how valuable that will be in what lies ahead.
"We have got a really honest group in that dressing room and they only want to do well for the Club.
"We have been here four weeks now and I can promise you, the attitude of the boys has been fantastic and it has helped us get through difficult moments."
