Report: Reading Under-18s 3-1 Blues Under-18s
Blues Under-18s were beaten by Reading in the Premier League South on Tuesday.
Martyn Olorenshaw made four changes to the side that had lost to Tottenham Hotspur, bringing Menzi Mazwi and Zachary Willis into the backline as Tommy Fogarty spent time on international duty with Northern Ireland and Harry Manton dropped to the bench.
Elsewhere, Pharrell Williams came into the midfield whilst Niall Rushton replaced Kieran Wakefield in the forward line.
After an even opening 45, the game was goalless at the break, before two quickfire strikes from Ajani Giscombe and Kyle Daniel-Spray handed Reading the lead in the 47th and 49th minutes.
It was three when Princewill Ehibhationham scored with just 15 minutes to play but Blues battled in the latter stages and pulled a deserved goal back through Morgan Dance.
The winger dusted himself down after being fouled in the box to clinically send Tom Norcott the wrong way from the spot for his third goal of the league campaign.
Such a result means Blues lie 13th in the league table and next up for Martyn Olorenshaw’s side is a home match against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
