Biography

Traditionally a forward, who can play as a winger or a striker, Smith most recently played for Leicester City and helped them win the 2020/21 FA Women’s Championship title.

Making 14 appearances in the second tier that term, she displayed an adaptability and desire to help the team gain promotion.

Born across the Midlands in Leicester, Smith joined the academy of her hometown club at the age of seven. She would stay there for eight years before embarking on a 12-month spell with Chelsea's Girls' Academy.

Upon returning to the Foxes, Smith moved into the First Team where she would remain until joining Blues.

Smith can also operate as a right-back, and has appeared in the defence for several games during the 2021/22 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season.

Smith has also represented England’s youth sides from Under-15s to Under-19s level, including appearances as captain of the Young Lionesses.
